Coat of arms of Breisach BREISACH:(formerly Altbreisach) is a town along the Rhine in the Rhine Valley, in Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district , Baden-Württemberg,  about halfway between Freiburg and Colmar and about 60 km N of Basel near the Kaiserstuhl.
