STEINBACH: see SCHWÄBISCH HALL (SCHWAEBISCH HALL) incorporating STEINBACH: Town history. In the 19th century a large Jewish community developed.

A synagogue built in 1809 was burned by a Nazi mob during "Kristallnacht" in 1938. Steinbach was incorporated in 1930 with Comburg into Schwäbisch Hall. As early as the 1930s, the city was enlarged by new settlements. [Apr 2013]
