Zeven population about 14,000. 53°18′0″N 9°17′0″E,  approximately 22 km NW of Rotenburg, and 40 km NE of Bremen. The nearest large towns are Bremerhaven, Bremen and Hamburg. Zeven is the seat of the Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") Zeven.

Wikipedia. Jewish history with photos of Kristalnacht. The town had 2,500 inhabitants in 1938, 28 of who were Jews. On November 10, 1938, under Gestapo orders, the synagogue in Zeven was forcibly emptied and the furnishings publicly burned at the town's main square.  [August 2012]
