Bad Lippspringe on the western slope of the Teutoburger Wald, approx. 10 km NE of Paderborn had the Arminius spring and the Liborius spring, for which it is famous as saline waters of a temperature of 70 °F, utilized both for bathing and drinking in cases of pulmonary consumption. The river Lippe source is in Bad Lippspringe.
