50°30' N 6°28' E, 328.7 miles WSW of Berlin. Blumenthal is in the community Hellenthalin Euskirchen. Inaugurated in 1904, the synagogue was destroyed on the Kristallnacht in 1938.

Jewish cemetery: The cemetery was used before 1894 to 1937 and still has 46 gravestones visible. During WWII, Russian POWs were buried there until 1949 when they were moved to the Soviet military cemetery Simmerath - Rurberg. The cemetery is landmarked. On 20 November 1988 a Holocaust memorial was dedicated.
