FORMER/OLD CEMETERY: Located in a southeasterly direction before the degree Weger gate, above the present crossing Niederbergheimer Street/Riga-Ringstrasse. Used 17 to early 19th century. Visible gravestones: None. The old burial ground closed in the 19th century in the course of road construction. Brocke suggested that in 1853/54 the municipality created the new cemetery in Soest (Nottebohmweg) and approximately 40 to 80 gravestones lost. [Sep 2012]
