Coat of arms of Winterberg51°12′N 8°31′E, This town in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia is a major winter sport resort of the Wintersport Arena Sauerland. Between the 16th and 18th centuries witch trials and executions are documented in 1523, probably 1562, 1629 and 1728. On November 19, 1993 a monument to the victims of the 16th Century witch hunts was dedicated.

Cemetery: 59955 North Rhine-Westphalia (Gerz, Peters). An old Jewish cemetery tucked quietly away on the eastern part of town near half-timber houses.
