(German: Fräniga) The community of Froeningue, which numbered 154 Jewry in 1784, disappeared in the course of the 19th century. The synagogue remains, but as only a barn carrying an inscription on whose face is the date of 1869, the last relic of this Jewish community. [January 2008]
